Where do you start? It will be easier for me to tell you where and how I started Gardening Organic.
It all started for me on a Sunday morning about four years ago I was relaxing reading my news paper like I did every Sunday morning after a hard week at work being a self employed carpenter for a well known firm, I noticed this very colourful flyer fall from the paper I picked it up and to cut to the chase the flyer was all about Gardening Organic, which got me thinking (which is not very often)When I was younger I used to love my garden but since I have been married which is 37 years now I have not had the time or the room to participate in a hobby especially gardening which my wife does anyway, not only that she is very good at it.
We have got a fairly big garden for a town house it measures about 33 * 17 metres apart from the fish pond which is 3 metre sqr it has all been turned to flowers which my wife really loves.
I spent most of that Sunday thinking and planning what I was going to do about Gardening Organic, with a little discussion with my dearest she gave way and said I could have a spot on the patio and told me to build a raised garden, which I did. My first attempt was a oblong box measuring 2300*1220cm I was excited about the fact that Gardening Organic was going to happen, next I filled my box with a mixture of soil which my wife had tested and said that it would be fine for Gardening Organic as she has never applied fertilizers or any sort of chemicals to her garden, as she just doesn’t believe in them, and a good quality peat and horse manure to ensure the roots of the plants can grow freely and get a good start in life.
I let the soil settle for a couple of weeks and in the meantime set about ordering my seed from a distributor which I had found on the internet, two days later the seed and plants arrived. I was very excited of the fact that in 4 to 5 months from now we will be eating fresh Gardening Organic veggies of my own.
I set out my seed in the raised garden that I had made and covered them with a plastic sheet incase of a late frost, Incidently the seeds I had bought for Gardening Organic were lettuce, radish, spring onions (scallions)because they were quick growers and good croppers, and four tomato plants which went into their own pots.
Every day like a new mother I was out there playing with my Organic Gardening, weeding, thinning out and all the other little things you need to do to make sure your Organic Gardening is faring well. As the weeks went by my garden was looking beautiful even my wife had commented on how good everything was growing and looking in my Organic Gardening.
Our first taste of the produce from my Organic Gardening was a marked occasion. We both sat down to a salad from my Organic Gardening, This is something I do not usually do as I do not usually like salad, but this was a special occasion, they were the best! I had forgotten what it was like to taste good fresh food from my own Organic Gardening.
Since my first Gardening Organic was such a success I have made another two the same size, and grown a variety of veggies.
Incidently I have also made and populated my own wormery for my Gardening Organic, that’s another story.
