About Me

I'm a Fenman, I was born in a city in England called Peterborough which is in the suburbs of Cambridgeshire.
The fens are a lovely place to live, they are flat, and you can see for miles on a clear day, the fens used to be covered in water but they have long since been drained, I have always lived in the fens, and I can’t see myself ever leaving here

After leaving school I joined the Military (army) in 1965 where I was posted in various countries, I came out of the army in 1971,got married in 1972,had two children whom are now adults. I’m a carpenter by trade, But I have done numerous jobs in the building trade, I have always been interested in gardening but have never really had the time to do anything about it, I live in a Victorian town house which has got a lovely garden which my wife does a very good job of looking after, over the years I became very interested in organic gardening, building my own raised gardens, wormery and cold frames. I wouldn’t say I’m 100% organic but in time I'm hoping to be.
